Booking a load can be accomplished through two main methods: during the order creation process or directly from the order board. This guide will walk you through both methods.

Booking During Order Creation

Step 1: Fill Out Load Information

As you create an order, you'll first need to fill out all the necessary information for the load. This includes details about the cargo, destination, and any special requirements.

Step 2: Select a Carrier

Ensure that your carrier of choice is already set up in the Transportation Management System (TMS). This step is crucial for a smooth booking process.

Step 3: Submit and Book

After entering all the required information, you'll see a "Submit Order" button. Upon clicking this, a screen will appear with the option to "Submit and Book." Selecting this moves you to the next step of the process.

Step 4: Enter Carrier Information

A new screen will prompt you to fill out specific details about the carrier. Once completed, the load will be created, and the carrier automatically booked.

Booking from the Order Board

Step 1: Access the Order

Navigate to the order board within your TMS and click on the order you wish to book a load for.

Step 2: Select the Load

Within the order details, click on the specific load that you need to book.

Step 3: Book the Load

After selecting the load, you'll find an option to "Book Load." Clicking this will take you to the booking process.

Step 4: Complete Carrier Information

Similar to the process during order creation, you'll need to fill out the carrier's information. This step finalizes the booking process, ensuring that the carrier is scheduled for your load as specified.
